This site was created as a
resource to learning about the diversity and importance of trees on the
Georgia Southern Campus. We have compiled a list of the 10 most common
trees on the campus, how to identify them, and what benefits they offer to
the University community. We have also created a web-based campus tree
walk to give you an idea of what areas on campus hold the greatest
diversity. There are links to the GSU home page, Botanical Garden, and
an article from the George-Anne which gives a little history of the trees on
campus as well. We hope you will take the time to enjoy the natural beauty
and learn about the significance of our trees.
