Adventures in Science through Teaching, Exploration, and Resourceful Stewardship (ASTERS)

ASTERS trains teachers in specific topics in science, then helps them explore those topics with their students. Each ASTERS unit includes a two-to three-week classroom study paired with a content-rich class trip to the Garden.  ASTERS programs are specially designed to align with GPS in specific grades.  Teachers are required to complete an orientation with Garden staff, for which they receive a stipend of $120.00, 2 PLU credit, bus money for the field trip, and a classroom kit containing supplies and activities.
