| A gift may be used to create a named
endowed fund that will, in perpetuity, honor and
memorialize the name(s) placed on it. The principal of
the fund is never spent. Instead, the fund is invested
and distributions are made based on the earnings of
the endowment.
Funds may be used to create scholarships,
fellowships, lectureships, academic chairs, cultural
opportunities, capital improvements or various other
projects as listed in our commemorative giving
opportunities.
Endowed funds may be established with donations
made now or those that are deferred until a future
date. The Georgia Southern University Foundation takes
great pride in working with each donor on an
individual basis when preparing guidelines and
criteria for each endowed fund. |
