are at the heart of our efforts at the Georgia
Southern University Foundation. Academic
scholarships enable a university to compete for
intellectually gifted, artistically talented and
highly motivated students. These students are the
sparks that energize the academic atmosphere on campus
and become the soul of excellence at Georgia Southern
University.
In order to aid Georgia Southern University in
becoming one of the best public comprehensive
universities in the country, private funding of
scholarships is a necessity. Without private funding,
Georgia Southern cannot reach out to the caliber of
students that are needed to provide that spark of
excellence. Programs such as the University Honors
Program provide students with renewable scholarships
that pay anywhere from $500 a year to full tuition.
