Donor Recognition Program

| The primary mission of the Georgia
Southern University Foundation, Inc. is to promote the
cause of higher education by assisting Georgia
Southern University with much needed resources to
achieve academic and athletic goals each and every
year. Financial support from private as well as
corporate donors is crucial to achievement of this
mission. Donor participation rates of alumni, faculty,
staff and friends who make gifts of any size are an
important consideration in the ranking and
accreditation process for all universities.
An attractive window decal for vehicles and/or
business locations is given to donors in recognition
of their support and to acknowledge that they are an
important part of the Foundation's efforts. |
| 1906 Society
Membership in the 1906 Society is extended to
contributors who make annual gifts of $1,200 or more
to support the Georgia Southern University Foundation.
The 1906 Society members are invited to an annual Gala
and other social and cultural events. When cumulative
gift totals reach $12,000, donors become lifetime
members of the 1906 Society.
Contribution totals are calculated at the close of
the fiscal accounting period July 1st through June
30th each year. Donors whose contributions total
$1,200 for the fiscal year will receive an invitation
to the 1906 Gala. Couples' gifts will be combined to
count as one unless directed otherwise. Matching gifts
as well as gifts-in-kind will be counted in the
cumulative giving totals. |
| Lifetime Giving Levels
The following gift recognition levels have been
established in order to recognize extraordinary
commitment to Georgia Southern University based on
cumulative giving levels. Contributors are recognized
by invitation and acknowledgement at various special
events held by Georgia Southern University each year.
