The Georgia Southern University Foundation Inc. was created to raise private funding to meet certain educational and institutional needs at Georgia Southern University not addressed by state allocations.

The mission of the Office of University Advancement is to secure the resources necessary to ensure that Georgia Southern University achieves its vision of becoming a nationally recognized public comprehensive university. Private funding and the support of alumni, individuals and the surrounding communities provide critical resources not available from other sources.
